This past June, at our 46th Biennial Convention, the delegates assembled

committed to keep our retired members engaged by re-imagining the PFFM's

Active-Retiree Membership. We finalized the structure and funding for this

program, including annual dues of $100. With these steps completed, we are

proud to offer you the opportunity to join the PFFM as an Active-Retired

member.

The PFFM has established a robust Active-Retired Membership Committee, led

by former Worcester L1009 President John Dwyer, working closely with our

leadership team and Executive Board. Together, we are building monthly virtual

informational meetings focused on issues that matter to our retirees,

including PERAC updates, Social Security, health care, Mass Retirees,

cancer and cardiac screenings, and other essential topics. These virtual

sessions will be offered exclusively to Active-Retired members beginning January

2026.

In addition to these virtual meetings, all PFFM Active-Retired members will be

invited to join us once a year for an in-person PFFM Monthly Meeting and

will be provided lunch. Our 2026 meeting is tentatively scheduled for April at

Florian Hall.

We are proud to welcome our retirees back into this new membership option, and

we look forward to seeing you virtually in January and in person in April.
